I can say 'I was there…'

Well, Saturday was a monumental day for the International Mac Podcast – they ran their marathon 12 hour Live Podcasting Session:

The IMP Live 12³ Podcast Marathon...

The IMP Live 12³ Podcast Marathon...

and I can say ‘ I was there…’ with pride. Ok, I wasn’t there for the whole 12 hours, or on with Ken Ray or Andy Ihnatko, Adam Christianson or Katie Floyd et al – not that I’m bitter ;0) – truth be told, I was only on for the Switchers Hour.

Which to be fair, IS the thing I should have been on for, and I nearly didn’t make that due to contracting a nasty 24 hour bug barely 24 hours before the Podcast started! But with careful application of Paracetemol / Ibuprofen & assorted fluids I made it, and what a great time I had.

I’m not going to run through the topics aired here – go take a listen to it on the IMP feed on iTunes or direct on the page at impdcast.tv (a click on the pic will take you there too)

Suffice it to say, we mentioned some good stuff for people thinking of making the Switch from PC to Mac. Windows 7 came up too, and has many have said, it IS quite Mac-like and I’ve used it myself in a Virtual Machine for Browser Testing web sites, and it performs quite well… but it’s just not OS X (sorry Microsoft!).

There’s loads of info on the Windows / OS X debate here on the site, and if you have a comment / opinion / rant you’d like to share, go click on the comment section at the bottom of the post – be great to hear from you!

OverHeard – “When you are ready to use your computer rather than fix it – THAT’S the time to Switch to Mac”
